The notion that #SaaS is dead is simply wrong. Who would want to spend hundreds of dollars in tokens to create an app someone else offers for $5-10 per month? It makes no economical sense, at least at small to medium scale. So if this is true, we might actually be looking at a new gold-rush of SaaS instead:
Well-made SaaS applications, with MCP access for agents and tight integration with domain-specific 3rd party API’s are going to be amazing building blocks for process automation. Think of it like sensors for agents to consume and materialisation endpoints for agents to create artefacts.
