So I went to Gamescom

So I went to Gamescom

So Gamescom is over and after I took the rest of the school holidays to recharge, I thought to write just a quick post about the experience.

Me and my firstborn were just regular visitors on friday and saturday. Friday was already very packed, made me remember I'm not comfortable with crowds. 😆 Saturday was sold out and a crowdpocalypse.

Best part of Gamescom was, hands down, the IndieArenaBooth - tightly packed games on display, indie devs nearby to answer questions. There even was a free non-alcoholic beer stand somewhere in the middle.

We didn't have the time and patience to try out everything, but a few games stood out: drumroll 🥁

The amazing "Planetenverteidigungskanonenkommandat" by Bippinbits of Domekeeper fame - great to meet Raffa who I knew from a previous life. Thanks for the tea and swag! 🙏

The wonderful "Cairn" by TheGameBakers - an innovative climbing game. My son had to go back to their booth on saturday just to beat the demo. 😄

The beautiful "Fruitbus" by Krillbite - a cozy food truck game. Demo available under the link.

The fun "Madness afloat" by Dynamicbox - a lovecraftian ship combat game.

After two days of stepping on peoples feet, I was happy to take a late train home. Overall some good memories, might come back next year.

Anyway, support indies, hydrate and while you're at it: Wishlist my game "Super Space Arcade" too. 🤓
